Washing your Hookah Hose


As you go on smoking hookah, it is natural that someday or the other the functionality of the hookah may reduce. It might be a hookah pipe or a hookah hose. When you smoke, it happens that the tobacco particles and the smoke residues become the barrier for smooth working of the hookah. You will not be able to enjoy the hookah smoke due to the low taste of the smoke. Your favorite flavors lack its authentic and rich taste due to continuous using of the hookah hose. Then it is the time to wash your hose.

Before washing the hose, you have to keep in mind that all hookah hoses are not washable. When you buy a hookah, try to find out from the dealer if the hookah hose is washable or not. Generally, hoses are not to be washed. It is always better to find out the cleaning and maintaining methods. If your hose is not- washable then there is a simple technique which removes all the dust particles. All you have to do is, just blow the air forcedly into the hose so that the chunk particles will come out through the other end.
In case, if your hookah hose is washable then you can wash it with water. It is also important to know if the hose is made of leather or not. Different cleaning methods are to be followed to wash leather and non-leather hoses. Some of the tips on how to wash these kinds of hookah hoses.
Leather hookah hoses: You should wash them cold water, or simply run the cold water from the tap. Dry the hose using dry piece of cloth and see it does not have left over water drops inside. You can do this once in every month to avoid the junks in the hose.
Non-leather hookah hoses: You should not wash them with very cold water as this wipes off the coating of the hose.
The secret behind the shining and well maintained hookah hose is, you can clean them lemon juice or baking soda also, as these are natural cleaning agents. Do not forget to ask the manufacturer that your hose is washable or non- washable before buying a hookah!!
