·          You will be given a metal tray, place that tray over the top of the hookah stem. You should know a point here; some hookahs come with fixed metal trays.
·          Now, one of the important hookah accessories hose comes. Insert the hose end with hose gasket into the port on hookah stem.
·          In some hookahs, an air releasing valve and a ball bearing will be featured.
·          After you fix that hose, try checking it by blowing in air. Make sure that very little air is expelled out.
·          Now, it’s time to fill in the water. Remove the hookah stem from the vase pour water as required and put back the stem and vase respectively.
·          Add the hookah into the clay bowl. Tobacco should be filled up to the neck.
·          Place a metal screen on top of the bowl. Alternatively, you can use an aluminum foil. Do not forget to make small holes to let the air pass out.
·          Light your hookah coal carefully, it may take some time to ignite. After it gets heated up, smoke is produced.

You can add cold water instead of ordinary water, adding cold water gives more smooth and thick smoke. The smoke will not at all be harsh. Another important thing to keep in mind is, do not overload the bowl with coal and tobacco. You should put only the required amounts of both charcoal and tobacco. When you are aware of setting up the hookah on your own, you can happily smoke at your place whenever you want and have a great time with friends and family, without going out always!!
